Urban Operations Research addresses a variety of issues in transportation, location planning, urban policy and planning, spatial data and modeling, and so on. This workshop aims to give opportunities for researchers and practitioners to exchange innovative ideas on various topics of urban operations research and related areas. The organizing committee encourages students or young researchers to present their preliminary results that are not necessarily ready for publications.

  • Thank you for attending IWUOR2019. Conference Photo is available.
  • Final program is available. We have 37 presentations. Each speaker has 18 minutes for the presentation and 4 or 5 minutes discussions. Because more than half of the speakers are graduate students, we thought that the discussion time is important for their future research. Please make sure your presentation time is 18 minutes.
  • Temporary program is available. We have 36 presentations. Each speaker has 20 minutes for the presentation and 2 or 3 minutes discussions. The last speaker of each session chairs the session. There is a PC (Windows) with Power Point and Acrobat, and a laser pointer in the conference room. Speakers may bring their file of their presentation in their USB memory and copy the file to the PC during the break. If you want to use your own computer, you may connect it to the projector by VGA or HDMI.
  • For attendants who need visa to enter Japan, please contact uor-admin@nanzan-u.ac.jp. We will prepare the documents as soon as possible.
  • For accomodation, please use expedia or the other hotel booking sites. We recommend to stay in the central area of Nagoya. There are many hotels there. Our campus is in the eastern part of Nagoya. If you use subway, it will take about 30 minutes from the central area of Nagoya such as SAKAE or FUSHIMI to the campus.
  • Registartion page has been opened on April 19.
  • Abstract upload deadline has been extended to April 5.
    Please notice that the deadlines are set in JST(GMT+9).
  • Banquet wll be held at KISOJI on July 20. It is a Japanese restaurant and the attendants enjoy shabu-shabu and the other Japanese cuisine.
  • Abstract submission deadline has been extended to March 25.
  • Title submission deadline has been extended again to March 31.
